This could be in part due to Charlize Theron outshining her fellow actors due to her talent, as her role felt so genuine against the fake and bad acting of other actors in the same scene. A better choice of cast in conjugation with less cliche moments and a better soundtrack would make this movie so much better but unfortunately a quite interesting storyline was lost and not worth watching.
